parent

Callable

• parent(reference: EntityReference): EntityReference | undefined

---

• The reference addressing this one's immediate ancestor, or undefined for a bare single-component reference which has none.

Truncation, never a lookup table: a path segment is dropped before a component is, so twin~twin:T.file:F/entities/G walks up through twin~twin:T.file:F to twin~twin:T.

  Parameters

  • reference: EntityReference

  Returns EntityReference | undefined
