Properties

optionalbinarySearchSteps

binarySearchSteps?: number

Binary-search refinement steps at each sampled transition (sampled mode only).

optionalcullBackFaces

cullBackFaces?: none | closed | all

Which back-facing triangles to drop from the occlusion tree. Default 'all'.

  • 'all' (default) — every back face, open meshes included. Occludes with exactly the face set the 3D viewer draws (the core loader renders with back-face culling on), so a single-sided surface seen from behind hides nothing — in 3D it is not there. Chosen over 'closed' on real drawings: same render time, visibly fewer false hidden lines.
  • 'closed' — only meshes that are watertight. Exact with respect to the RAW mesh set: through a closed surface a ray always meets a front face before any back face, so back faces never decide visibility, and the self-occlusion rule never uses them either. Open meshes keep their back faces and may occlude from behind.
  • 'none' — keep everything. The escape hatch for bisecting a field regression.

Reachable from printing templates as the viewport-level occlusion.cullBackFaces.

optionaldepthEpsilon

depthEpsilon?: number

optionalmode

mode?: exact | sampled

Classification mode. 'exact' (default) computes visibility transitions exactly via 2D-arrangement splits; 'sampled' is the legacy point-sampling classifier — faster per segment but misses occlusions shorter than its sample spacing (use for live-drag preview).

optionalsamplesPerSegment

samplesPerSegment?: number

Samples per segment (sampled mode only).
